– A nomadic peoples that travel the Grey Steppes. They cover their entire bodies in robes, leaving only their eyes visible. Sometimes encountered on a pilgrimage, elsewhere in Erde.
– Light Infantry of the Crimson Legion. Typically made up of conscripts and prisoners, and those with nothing else to lose.
– A learned order of monks that were based out of Nellum, in Old Naathshara. Wiped out with Moonfall.
– Bai, a tiefling monk of the Agraeon Order and one of the Heroes Of Old. Died in Ophir, with Moonfall.
– A species of tree that grows underground, with large drooping branches. Known for slowly growing into all available spaces. A hallmark of Old Essard, and culturally important as each town or city had its own specific Aeohsa tree, the shape of which was mirrored by that location’s Waystone.
– An annual competition outside of Corndicia, where aspiring officers of the Ordo Aegis test their skills and their wits against a gauntlet of trials. In Year 1291 the status quo was upset as both a visiting dignitary and local politician threw new participants into the Trials. These are a public event, used as a kind of showcase to demonstrate why it’s worth supporting such a costly endeavor as the Ordo Aegis.
– The premier academy of arcane schooling in Old Naathshara. This is where the finest wizards of their age learned their craft and pushed the boundaries of what was possible. The primary academy was located in Ophir, with smaller colleges located throughout Old Naathshara.
– Huge mountain range that functionally separates Rakkan and Wylun. It runs through southern Merrick, northern Arkhoun, and western Samia.
